Believers are you walking in Jesus Christ Authority trampling on snakes and scorpions and overcoming ALL the power (ability) of the enemy so that nothing will harm you? (Luk 10:19)
Let us look at the word Authority:
1. God has ALL Authority (Rom 13:1)
2. God gave Jesus ALL Authority (Matt 11:27 & 28:18, Col 1:15-17)
3. Jesus gave the disciples ALL His Authority (Luk 9:1 & Matt 10:1)
What does the word Authority Means?
– It means the power or right to give orders, make decisions and enforce obedience.
Therefore, if ALL Authority was given to the disciples, there is None Authority left for the enemies use (Matt 21:33 & Col 1:20).
Note:
The enemy has ability as he walks around seeking whom he may devour (1 Pe 5:8-9). He come to steal, kill and destroy
BUT
Jesus came to give life and give it abundantly.
These 2 polar opposites can never meet or be in agreement.
Furthermore Jesus Christ could not instruct His believers to resist the adversary if the adversary had a legal right or any authority against the believer as God Himself has All Authority and is the judge of all.
Jesus Christ came to show the will of His Father and He could not destroy the works of the enemy if such was against The Father’s will. He came with clear instructions and He fulfilled His purpose on the earth and declared it is finished. He did a perfect job and left none undone.
NOW
It is written that His people (Believers in Christ) are destroyed for a lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6).
Jesus Christ is not the one that fight against you, but it is your own thoughts, vain imaginations and wordly/fallen mindset that holds you captive and which needs to be renewed to His Truth so that you can receive the Truth that sets you free and walk in freedom.
It is His will that you prosper in ALL things.
SO to win every battle;
1. You need to know your Father;
2. You need to know your identity as a son of God
3. You need to know who your enemy is and give him NO opportunity (Eph 4:27) into your life.
THEN
You need to walk in the fullness of Jesus Christ in what He paid for (Eph 3:19 & 4:13 & Col 1:10).
He paid for your salvation, freedom, restoration and so much more. Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all things will be added to you. You need to take the Kingdom by force as a manifested son of God.
You need to walk in healing and deliverance as a child of God as such is paid in full.
Jesus came to show the will of His Father (Which is His Word) and Jesus Christ said what you see Me do, do also.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy so that means that the enemy has NO Authority or Legal Right to harm believers.
God restored mankind to Himself by sending His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ who made full payment for us and who made a public spectacle of the enemy and took away the keys and those keys are now belonging to His church and you are His church (Col 2:15 & Eph 1: 20-21).
If the enemy had ANY Legal Right to touch believers you would not be able to pray to God for deliverance or healing as such would then be against God’s will and you would just have to accept your so – called lot or misfortune in life as you would not want to go against God’s will.
Why bother to go to the doctor if it is God’s will for you to suffer so that He can teach you a lesson?
No my friend do not believe the lie of the enemy. Sin has been dealt with at the cross. It is a done deal. By His stripes you are healed and delivered.
Thankfully and Miraculously God made a way by sending Jesus to pay for us so that the curse was dealt with on the cross and we are now blessed and restored to God.
God has given All Authority to Jesus Christ. The enemy is satan who came to steal, kill and destroy. He is the thief that breaks in illegally and plunder your goods if he is not caught out in the act. If he is caught out, he needs to repay sevenfold. Lets start claiming the sevenfold return owed to us.
Take Note that this Authority is not ours, but it belongs to Jesus Christ and we have the privilege to use such against every attack of the enemy (Dan 7:13-14).
Jesus Christ is the stronger one that overcame the strongman (Luk 11:21-22) and Jesus Christ is our stronghold in our life (Ps 27:1).
Now that we have established clearly that the enemy has no Legal Right or Authority over you in the Name of Jesus, the question is can Christians be oppressed by satan?
I am convinced that if you believed his lies and agreed to his tactics (Prov 18:21) perhaps due to a lack of knowledge of the truth, and you allowed him to rule your thoughts and mind and you did not re-aligning your mind to the Truth, possibly you have allowed yourself to be oppressed.
But do not be alarmed or fear as you cannot be possessed as a blood washed child of God and the Good News of the Gospel is who the Son sets free is free indeed. You have been redeemed by the Blood of the King.
So some things to consider is:
1. What are you allowing to access your portals or gates to your mind (What are you watching or listening to) or practising?
2. Are you guarding your heart?
3. Are you daily renewing your mind, taking every thought captive and re-aligning such to the promises of His Word which is the only truth?
4. Are you standing on His truth and resting in Him?
5. Do you cast off every vain imagination?
6. Is your focus on and are you thinking about things that are from above that is lovely and praiseworthy?
7. Do you fight in the flesh or end in the flesh starting of in the spirit?
8. Is your conscience seared?
9. Are you using your weapons of warfare for the pulling down of every stronghold in your mind?
10. Are you fighting the good fight of faith?
11. Are you enduring to the end?
12. Are you overcoming by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of your own testimony?
13. Are you walking in forgiveness?
NOW
The Good News of the Gospel is that Jesus Christ said it is finished, paid for by Him (The Blood of a King) and not by your works but only by His grace.
Jesus is coming back, YES but not to die for your delieverance or healing again.
He paid once for all, now it is up to you to believe Him.
The enemy might have robbed you, but NOW knowing the truth you can get free and live in freedom.
It is NOW your turn to overcame by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of YOUR testimony (Heb 9:22) not loving your life even unto death (Rev 12:11).
You need to understand that your spirit is perfect, but your soul needs to be aligned to your spirit.
Your soul needs to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
Your body will always align to what your soul believes and that is what is showing in your body.
Although the battle has been won, you still need to enforce the v-i-c-t-o-r-y.
You have a responsibility to guard yourself and build yourself up into your most holy faith.
This happens in the soul area by renewing your mind to believe what the word says about yourself.
You need to remember your armor that He has given you.
Jesus Christ is on your side and He still intercede and fight for you before the Father.
Also you are seated in heavenly places above all thrones and principalities.
The LORD give His angels charge over you to keep you as they are ministering angels to those that will inherit the Kingdom.
You also have a cloud of witnesses cheering you on (Heb 12:1).
The scale is tipped in your favour.
So you need to believe in what He has paid for and rest in His Word, believing, confessing, declaring His promises (His Will = His Word) over your life and your loved ones.
Pray without ceasing.
Start fighting with His Word (The Truth) and not against His Word by aligning your thought to His thoughts and declaring His truth into the atmosphere as it is in heaven so be it on earth. You birth it forth by speaking and declaring it.
Do not focus on what you see, but believe and you will see.
If the Word says it, you should believe it and then you rest in it.
Call in your healing and freedom.
You need to take authority in His Name and start commanding every sickness / devil to leave your body. Every knee shall bow in His Name. Declare His Words by His stripes you were healed (1 Pe 2:24) and so shall it be.
What you loose on earth is loosed in heaven and what you bind on earth is bound in heaven (Matt 16:19 & 18:18).
Legally, deliverance and healing has been paid for and it is yours for the taking.
The enemy illegally gains access and is trying to keep you from understanding who is the Stronger One residing in you.
You have benefits as a child of God (Ps 103) and start calling those forth.
SO
Your question might be, but what if I allowed the enemy to oppress me and I needs deliverance?
Well I believe you need to consider 2 options:
Firstly – Repent of your sins, renounce any alignment of any type to the enemy and any agreement to might habe made with him. Remember legally the LORD has paid for you by His Blood and nothing can nullify the power of His Blood.
Re-dedicate your life to Jesus Christ by surrendering all to Him.
Command all illegal attacks to leave in the Name of Jesus and keep doing so until you are free. also what helps is to immerse yourself in praise and worship (Look at when Jericho walls fell down) and have gratitude towards what the LORD has done for you.
Renew your mind daily by taking every thought that is contrary to the Word captive and replace such with a sripture which would then be your weapon of warfare against that specific stronghold in your mind.
Walk in your identity daily and fight the good fight of faith.
Endure to the end and finish your race.
You need to spend time daily in the secret place with Jesus Christ and be obedient to Him. Obedience unlocks His Presence (Read the following verses – 2 Cor 10:5, Cor 10: 4-8, Prov 4:23, Matt 24:13, Acts 20:4, Eph 6:10-18, 1 Tim 6:12 & 2 Tim 4:7).
Secondly – The other way would be to ask a Believer to cast out the demon and then go back and do all said as mentioned firstly. (Matt 10:8, 1 John 2:1-2).
Stop sinning and live a righteous life aiming to be perfect (mature Believer and not tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine – Eph 4:14) as your Heavenly Father is perfect (Matt 5:48).
It is written who the son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36)
In closing, choose the most important part and that is to meet with Jesus Christ daily in your prayer closet.
Walk with Him as Adam, Enoch and Noah walked and remember Jesus Christ Himself is in you by Hi Spirit so walk in His footsteps and His ways. (Gen 3:8, Gen 5:24 & Gen 6:9).
Start your day daily in His Presence.
Identify with the Stronger One (Christ in me, the hope of Glory) on the inside of you and be convinced that nothing can seperate you from the love of God (Rom 8:38-39).
I once had a sense during a church services, that we are a tiny grain of sand blowing in the wind, being tossed all around by the waters and circumstances we face.
Sometimes blown up into the air only to fall and land somewhere in the depths of a seashore fill of sand as not having any control over what is happening.
Then I sensed the Lord picking up one grain of sand with something similar to a tweezer, carefully and He places the grain of sand in a small glass treasure chest.
The glass of the treasure chest is like a magnifying glass so that the grain of sand looks much bigger and visible to the eye. I had a sense of how El – Roi (The God that sees) watches this grain of sand.
The LORD then focuses His eyes on the grain of sand He takes it out and starts to artfully paint stripes on it like a artist would do if he paints a certain image.
I believed these stripes and shapes are happenings in our lives.
Once He was done, He polishes the grain of sand until it shines and is smooth.
He then places us back in the treasure chest so that He can looks at us.
My friend that is how God sees you and how precious you are to Him.
Be found in Jesus Christ alone as He alone is the Redeemer of Mankind and He alone is able to keep you the uttermost as you comes to Him (Heb 7:25).
Remember only Jesus Christ can perfect you for all eternity so you need to anchor in Him so that you can be able to stand and keep on standing.
My friend if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, Today is your day.
Now is the time to surrender to Him.
It is written if you confess your sins with your mouth, believing that Jesus is Lord and that God (His Father and our Father) raised Him from the dead (Becoming a first born from the dead), you will be saved (Rom 10:9-10).
Please repeat the following words audibly believing with your whole heart:
Lord, Jesus Christ I confess that I am a sinner and I realise that I cannot save myself and I need a Saviour that can atone for my sins.
I realise Jesus Christ that you alone are the Way, the Truth and the Life and through You alone I can approach God as my Father.
I Believe Jesus Christ that You came to earth and lived a sinless life (Spotless lamb slain from the foundation of the world), You died for my sins and was resurrected by God.
I believe Jesus Christ You are the Only Begotten Son of God that came in the flesh to redeem and save mankind and to restore my relationship to Your Father who is now My Father (Rom 8:15).
Please forgive me and wash away all my sins, shame and guilt and present me faultless before My Father.
I submit and surrender my life to You and give my heart, mind and body to you for Your use.
Holy Spirit I need Your help to teach me and guide me as I need to follow in Your ways. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can utter unknown tongues to the glory of my King.
My life now belongs to You my Father in the Name of Jesus.
Amen and Amen.
Now start meditating on The Bible as such is the Word of God (Your written instructions) your pathway to success (Josh 1:7-8).
It is a lamp unto your feet (Ps 119:105).
Be baptised in water in the Name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit so that you show publicly to whom you belong as you should not ever be ashamed of the Father.
Remember who is in you and start doing the great Co-Mission setting others free.
In conclusion be strong in the Lord and in the strenght of His might and love not your life unto death (Eph 6:10 & Rev 12:11).
Do your best (by His grace and strenght) to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, righly handling the word of Truth (2 Tim 2:15).
